Church History

FOUNDING
In 1903 a congregation was organized and held services at various homes and schools in the area.

On September 6th, 1910, Wilhelm and Elsie Sonderup deeded two acres of their farmland to the newly formed Saint Peter Danish Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Logan Precinct in Howard County Nebraska.  Enebrit and Gurine Johnson (Johannesens), Jensesn, Jepsens, Kalsbos, Olsens, Petersens, Svendsens along with the Sonderup family were the founding members of the church.

A church was built on this site along with establishing a pioneer cemetery.

In 1950 the former members of the Church held a meeting to dissolve the Church. In 1951 the former members of the Church formed the North Logan Cemetery Association and retained one acre of land for the cemetery and deeded the other one acre to Henry Sonderup (son of Wilhelm and Else Sonderup) who was the owner of the farm land that surrounded the Church.

The Church building was moved to Ord, Nebraska.
The North Logan Cemetery Association is a 501-C -13 Non-Profit Organization.
